regarded potter Wilford Dean of Cleveland, Georgia. Best known for his Southern style folk art face jugs, Dean also makes a variety of other sought after ceramic objects. This Wilford Dean piece has been made in the form of a pitcher with a wide stable base and well formed spout. The pitcher has an applied strap handle at the side while the front features a large dimensional cluster of blue grapes hanging from a woody vine. The grapes are flanked by two large leaves and have a trailing tendril which hangs beneath, all of which have also been executed in relief.
The 2lb 7oz pitcher is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. As a hand made piece, it should be noted that there are production related
