Peggy Stanton Hand Styled Ceramic Wall Pocket Rare
From the Encyclopedia of Australian Potters Marks by Geoff Ford: Peggy Stanton set up a small pottery studio in 1956 in Ramsgate, Sydney NSW. In 1968 it became a Proprietary Limited Company and began trading as ''Stanton Pottery'' which continued until 1987. A variety of slip cast pieces were produced some handpainted with bush scenes, aboriginal scenes or motifs.
This piece is a rare original piece with silver foil sticker. In good condition with one chip on bottom that can be seen in last photo. Approximately 7 1/2" long and 7" wide at top
